A Day in the Life: Working at Triple M Dispensary

Good morning, cannabis enthusiasts and curious readers! Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes to experience what a typical day looks like for those of us working at Triple M Dispensary. As one of Massachusetts’ premier cannabis establishments, our days are filled with education, compassion, and a commitment to quality products.

6:30 AM – Rise and Shine

My alarm goes off early. Working in the cannabis industry means staying current on regulations and product knowledge, so I often use my morning coffee time to catch up on industry news and any updates to state cannabis policies.

8:15 AM – Arriving at the Dispensary

I arrive about 45 minutes before we open to the public. This gives our team time to:

  • Review inventory and prepare for the day
  • Discuss any new products or specials
  • Set up registers and ensure security measures are in place
  • Have our morning team huddle

9:00 AM – Doors Open

The first customers arrive right as we open. Many are regulars who know exactly what they’re looking for, while others are first-time visitors seeking guidance. This mix keeps the job interesting and allows us to build meaningful connections with our community.

11:30 AM – Education in Action

One of my favorite parts of working at Triple M is the educational component. Today, an elderly customer came in looking for relief from arthritis pain. I spent about 20 minutes discussing different options, explaining the differences between THC and CBD products, and helping them find something appropriate for their needs and experience level.

1:00 PM – Lunch Break

Lunchtime is a chance to decompress. Sometimes we use this time to discuss new products or share customer feedback among colleagues. The cannabis industry is constantly evolving, so these informal chats can be incredibly valuable.

2:30 PM – Inventory Management

Working in a regulated industry means meticulous inventory control. Part of my afternoon involves checking stock levels, updating our system, and preparing orders for upcoming deliveries. Every product is tracked from “seed to sale,” ensuring compliance with state regulations.

4:00 PM – The Afternoon Rush

The post-work crowd starts filing in. This is typically our busiest time, with customers stopping by after their workday. The pace picks up, and we work efficiently to ensure everyone receives the same level of service and attention despite the increased volume.

6:30 PM – Community Connection

Today we hosted a small informational session about terpenes and their effects. These micro-events help educate our customers while building community. It’s rewarding to see people’s understanding of cannabis deepen beyond just recreational use.

8:00 PM – Closing Procedures

As we approach closing time, we start our end-of-day protocols:

  • Reconciling registers
  • Securing product in our vault
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the space
  • Completing compliance documentation

8:30 PM – Reflection

Before heading home, I take a few minutes to reflect on the day. What went well? What could we improve? This industry requires continuous learning and adaptation, and I take pride in contributing to a company that prioritizes both customer well-being and regulatory compliance.

What Makes Working at Triple M Special

Working in cannabis retail isn’t just about selling products—it’s about education, destigmatization, and helping people find what works for their needs. Whether assisting medical patients seeking relief or recreational users looking for a specific experience, every interaction matters.

The cannabis industry continues to evolve, and being part of that evolution through my work at Triple M is both challenging and deeply satisfying. From strict compliance requirements to the need for extensive product knowledge, this isn’t your average retail position—and that’s precisely what makes it so rewarding.

Until next time, stay curious and consume responsibly!
